Description:The position is accountable for, but not limited to, direct regional sales of ESAB Cutting System products Activities include daily interface with end users, distributors and internal customers and associates within the ESAB Group. This is an outside sales position.
Duties:• Demonstrate a high standard of professional integrity in all matters of business
• Attain budgeted sales and profitability targets
• Serve as the primary direct sales channel for Mechanized Cutting products in the South Central Region
• Provide timely and thorough feedback of existing business activity and market trending. Such feedback will be based on individual market research and will result from the aggressive pursuit of regional sales opportunities
• Maintain and grow a strong Espirit de Corps with other ESAB function groups. Active participation in ESAB’s cross selling activities
• Attain “Trusted Advisor” status with Regional end users and distributors
• Provide input on methods of cost reduction and cost avoidance
• Coordinate and/or participate in special projects on an “as required” basis
Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:
• Self starting and results oriented
• Work well with minimum supervision
• Well developed presentation skills
• Time/territory management skills a must
• Requires a strong work ethic and a priority on task fulfillment. A “can do” attitude is a must
• 4-year college, or equivalent experience
• 10 years successful high capital goods sales or equivalent
• A functional awareness of mechanized plasma, and oxyfuel cutting processes
• Waterjet and laser cutting process knowledge is a plus
• Strong team, people and communication skills
• Experienced in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Willing to travel as required
