Description:Strategic Account Managers are responsible for increasing sales and market share of ESAB’s Standard Welding and Cutting Filler Metal and Equipment products, through the aggressive development of End-user and Distributor National Account programs.
Duties:1. Develops large customers through Account Relationship Mgt.
- Be recognized as “the ESAB contact” for the accounts assigned
- Expand / elevate levels of contact
- Utilize the Integrity Selling and On Target- target account selling processes to determine the end users specific situation, their compelling events and your sales strategies and tactics
- Facilitate information / communication to all person involved in the assigned accounts
- Maintain and develop customer satisfaction for all ESAB products the account purchases
- Maintain total ownership of the account
- Implement and coordinate the strategy of the sales team at assigned accounts.

2. Coordinates the sales development of large customers
- Calls on large potential use customers (end user & Distributor)
- Provide strategic direction for developing account opportunities
- Convinces customers of desirability of doing business with the ESAB
- Coordinates technical support and activities with the sales force and other support personnel
- Prepares an activity up-date of monthly and annual sales for assigned accounts
- Drive the growth of revenues at assigned accounts
- Leverage the ESAB value added on the total ESAB offering
- Manage the sales plans of assigned accounts

3. Maintains a leadership position in the ESAB organization
- Be a valued asset to the Regional and Territory Sales persons
- Communicate with upper level management on market and customer trends
- Accept responsibility of total ownership of the accounts assigned
- Develop full working knowledge of all ESAB standard welding products
- Empowered to make decisions to grow Target Account customers
- Continue to develop a personal understanding of the industry
- Develop negotiation skills in order to attain the highest margin available to ESAB

4. Manage/participate in special projects on behalf of the Director, Strategic Accounts
- Work with the Director, Strategic Accounts to determine project assignments
- Lead / complete projects according to plan
